![]() Without there being a clear gap between Belmont and Dracula's physical abilities, it'd render Belmont being categorized as a human irrelevant. I think the idea is that, like most monster-slayers and vampire-hunters, Trevor's ability to fight and kill his "prey" is largely dependent on his knowledge of the monsters' weaknesses as well as the use of tools that give him some edge. Note: while Dracula in game can summon meteors or kill the devil (the latter probably happen in LOS instead), we don't really know whether he managed to do so in story he might get interrupted or unfortunately met a speed-runner Belmont. Maybe the producers want a "realistic" take, so puny human without sub-weapons or magic can't even scratch a fucking powerful vampire. Unlike the game, they made Netflix Dracula WAY TOO powerful, which I'd say he is still weaker than LOS Dracula, but not too far behind (pretty sure that he would enjoy a fist fight with Gabriel Belmont Dracul) - of course that's why it looks ridiculous for Belmonts in game to succeed in killing Dracula, because Dracula in the game was never that powerful note. I feel almost like I could sense the menace from the producers, as they need to make Dracula a sympathetic character, so the Belmonts are not going to be portrayed in a positive light. I am really pissed off by how the producers turn a CV3 adaptation they once promised, which supposedly every protagonists should have importance in killing Dracula ( and canonically, have Trevor make the killing blow), into something they now call a part of "Castlevania cinematic universe", with Dracula and Alucard being central characters, while is hard for me to make it clear but basically Sypha get Mary Sue'd while Trevor is written as a weak dumbass who punch Dracula in the face (even if it is not feasible to use whip, at least use something like sword or dagger, or at the very least the broken stick on his belt!). In short, I can't find a reasonable excuse for Trevor to be weak and totally useless in the fight other than the producers don't want him to shine.
